rejoice twilighters! aside from the release of breaking dawn, the twilight movie is set too hit the theaters at an earlier date --- NOVEMBER 21, 2008. it would replace the date allocated for harry potter and the half-blood prince which would be moved to july 17, 2009. (see story) anyway, i really am looking forward to watch both movies, but, to my great dismay, twilight will be shown on january 9, 2009 here in the philippines!!! aw!! i sooo don't like this.. why not on november 21?? well.. i guess i have to wait for more than two months.. so much for the worst of me.. huhuhuhu..

weee! i just finished reading twilight.. i'm currently reading new moon now.. anyways, i found these on the net and decided to post it on my blog coz i really can't get over them.. i'm really excited to watch the movie! and i'll definitely watch it (i just hope it wouldn't conflict with my exams..hehe) :) still, with or without exams, i'm absolutely gonna watch it on the big screen! lol! gbu.. :)

twilight -- never dreamed nor thought that a book with a story so wonderful such as this existed.

well.. i was really looking forward on writing a book about vampire-human romance. and guess what? i never have to write it anyway because somebody already wrote it just they way i've always wanted it to be.. thanks to stephanie meyer! you're one incredible writer! cheers! hehe.. anyway, i still have to read the books.. but i was somewhat frustrated when i learned that it isn't available in our place! damn! i guess i'll have to rely on other resources, but, i was really hoping to have a copy of the 3 books (there are currently 3 books published in the series).. so, wish me luck everyone! hehe..
anyway, the books' been turned into a movie.. and the cast was.. well.. they weren't the ones i had in mind, though, i still have to wait for december 12 to criticize them if they played their part well as characters in the twilight series (especially for edward, jacob and bella's part).. *sigh*

here's a short synopsis of the first book twilight taken from IMDB (written by www.summit-ent.com):

vampire knight - one of the recent anime i'm currently watching to.. not only because i'm quite a fan to vampire-related anime, but, well, i kinda like the story too.. i really can't wait for the next episodes to come, though i already knew what's gonna happen next (i happen to come across a lot of spoilers and then decided to just read the manga as well.. hehe *winks*) anyway, if you want to watch this show, go to this site . have fun watching!

After taking three pregnancy tests in Rollo's (Rainn Wilson) store, Juno MacGuff (Ellen Page) discovers she is nine weeks pregnant by her close friend Paulie Bleeker (Michael Cera). She calls her best friend, Leah (Olivia Thirlby), and decides to schedule an abortion without telling her father and step-mother. Although she encounters a pro-life classmate protesting alone outside the clinic, Juno enters but becomes unnerved and overwhelmed. She returns home intent on carrying the pregnancy to term and to give the infant up for adoption.

Juno and Leah look through the Pennysaver for couples seeking to adopt children and finally come by an ad from Mark and Vanessa Loring (Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner). Juno breaks the news of her pregnancy to her father Mac MacGuff (J. K. Simmons) and her stepmother, Brenda "Bren" MacGuff (Allison Janney), who support her decision to put the baby up for adoption. Juno and her father visit the affluent Lorings in their suburban home where the high-strung Vanessa is unsettled by Juno's sarcasm, but Juno and Mark form a bond over their shared musical interests. Mark reveals that he was once in a punk band but now writes commercial jingles. Juno teases him because Vanessa has boxed all his hobbies – Les Paul guitars, recording gear, and comic books – to a single room in the house.

Several weeks later in the winter Juno goes to receive an ultrasound with Bren and Leah, where a comment about teen mothers by the technician prompts a harsh rebuke from Bren. After the appointment, Juno drives to the Loring residence unannounced to share the ultrasound picture with them. As Mark works from home, he welcomes her and they begin to discuss their shared interests in alternative music and horror films. Vanessa returns home and is caught off-guard by Juno's presence but looks at the ultrasound with interest. Juno comes across a collection of baby items and Vanessa reveals that a previous adoption fell through which prompts Juno to reaffirm her commitment to giving them her child. Juno returns home and her stepmother admonishes her that spending time with a married man may cause problems, a concern Juno rejects, saying they are just friends. When Juno later drives to Paulie's house to spend time together in his room as they always used to, he suggests that they rekindle their relationship after the pregnancy. She rebuffs him and suggests he date Katrina De Voort instead.

When Juno is in the final weeks of her pregnancy in the spring, she visits the mall with Leah and covertly observes a relaxed Vanessa playing happily with a friend's child. She appears touched and continues to watch them even when Leah walks away. When they run into each other, Juno encourages Vanessa to touch her belly and speak to the baby. Vanessa is thrilled when she realizes the baby responds to her voice by kicking. At school, Juno learns that Paulie asked Katrina De Voort to go to prom and has a falling out with him.

Juno again visits the Lorings and is pleased that Mark is home alone. They talk about music and play each other some favorite songs. They begin to flirt with each other tentatively, slow dancing as Mark tells Juno about his senior prom. Then he reveals he is leaving Vanessa because a baby will not fix their broken marriage. Juno is upset because she wanted her baby in a stable family and storms out of the room in tears just as Vanessa arrives home, wondering what is going on. When Mark says he is unprepared to be a father, Vanessa asks him to mature and become a father to their child. Juno is thrown by this turn of events and runs out to her car. After she composes herself on the side of the highway, she drives to the parking lot of a local convenience store and writes a note on a discarded receipt. Juno leaves the note on the Lorings' doorstep and drives away. When she returns home, Mac gives her advice about finding unconditional love and being in a committed relationship. Juno realizes that she loves Paulie and stuffs his mailbox full of his favorite orange Tic Tacs that night. At the track field the next day, she admits that she loves him and they reconcile and begin a relationship with a public kiss.

Juno ultimately gives birth to a baby boy; she decides not to call Paulie because he had a very important track meet that day. When Paulie wins his meet and sees Juno is not in the stands cheering for him, he runs straight to the hospital in only his running gear. He climbs into her hospital bed to console Juno who is more distraught over giving up her child than she realized she would be. Juno and Paulie agree it is best to not see the baby because they never felt as if he belonged to them, but rather was always meant for Vanessa. Vanessa claims the boy from the nursery as Bren looks on. In the baby's nursery at Vanessa's house, Juno's note on the receipt is framed on the wall: "Vanessa, if you're still in, I'm still in. -Juno." The film concludes with a final kiss between Juno and Paulie after they sing and play The Moldy Peaches' song "Anyone Else But You".

MY VIEW ON JUNO:

It's a great film for me.. For once, it touches a bit of reality about teen pregnancy, and well, it's quite nice to see that her parents were quite supportive with her dilemma and juno manages herself well in the film.. I'll give it an 8.5/10 rating.. :)

Produced by ABC Television Studios and The Mark Gordon Company, the series premiered on September 25, 2007, airing on Tuesday nights at 9:00/8:00c on The CW, following Beauty and the Geek.

Reaper will have a full thirteen episode order for the 2007-08 season.

SYNOPIS:

Sam Oliver lives at home with his parents and brother in the Seattle area. He has always wondered why his Mom and Dad were so easy on him, whether it was sports, school, or career choices, and so hard on his younger brother, Keith. Sam dropped out of college ("It made him sleepy", his mother explains) and takes a dead-end job at the 'Work Bench', a home-repair superstore similar to Home Depot (the pilot was filmed at a Canadian Tire in Burnaby, BC). He spends the rest of his time hanging out, playing video games, and pining for his co-worker Andi (Missy Peregrym).

On Sam's 21st birthday, his parents are behaving very strangely and Sam himself is seeing hellish visions and experiencing odd events. His father (Andrew Airlie) eventually explains that many years ago he was very sick and in return for restoring his health, he and his wife promised their firstborn child to the Devil (Ray Wise). Although the couple intended to cheat the devil by having no children, this plan goes awry when Satan convinces their doctor to lie and tell the couple that they cannot conceive in exchange for wiping his gambling debts clean. Sam is born shortly thereafter.

After informing him of his fate, Satan explains to Sam that he must serve as his bounty hunter, tracking down souls that have escaped from Hell and sending them back using his new powers (which have included telekinesis and electrical powers) and vessels, which are various objects said to have been hand-made from the bowels of hell by the iniquitous and the vile, all fitted inside a long wooden box sent for Sam to open (with an Italian inscription reading: "Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch'intrate" / "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here") specially designed for each job (such as a Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner). Although Sam initially balks, Satan tells him that should he refuse, then Sam's mother's soul is forfeit. Unwilling to sacrifice his mother and convinced that he is doing good in the world by tracking down evil souls, Sam accepts his fate and, with the help of his slacker friends, begins his new life tracking down the corrupted souls trying to escape their own eternal rewards.

The show Reaper stopped airing after the tenth episode due to it's workers going on strike.

Welcome to Quantum & I.T. Convention!

The QITC is an acronym of Quantum and Information Technology Convention—an innovation of the two ground-breaking activities of the two well-recognized organizations of Xavier University united to accomplish a common goal.

The Quantum

Quantum is a tradition of Xavier Computer Enthusiasts’ League (XCEL) of Xavier University since 1994. It is a pure competition participated by different schools in Mindanao. Its main objectives are to test the level of knowledge and literacy of high school and college students on Computer and Information Technology and to develop a science and technology culture among the youth.

Quantum is composed of 3 segments. First are the MS Paint and the GIMP Competition which will be participated by one grade school and one high school student as a representative of each school. Second is the Quiz Show which is exclusive for high school students consisting of three bona fide students of each school and the last one is the Programming Competition which will be consisted of three bona fide college students equipped with programming skills.

The IT Convention

The City-Wide IT Convention of the Ateneo Information Management Society (AIMS) started in the year 2002 and will commemorate its 5th year of gathering the IT students of Cagayan de Oro City not just to test their competence but to guide them with additional knowledge and to develop their skills in Information Technology.

This is usually a 2-day and 1-night activity which comprising sessions and discussions on IT related topics with distinguished resource speakers। A fellowship or social night was usually held in the evening with delightful performances from the delegates. In the following day, a short quiz bee and receipt of certificates wrap up the convention.

All Schools, Colleges and Universities in Mindanao are invited to join the First Mindanao-Wide Quantum and Information Technology Convention (QITC).
